Tests

On-line tests

The on-line version of the tests may prove useful for revision purposes. They relate quite closely to the information contained in the Infobase, but the content of each is quite mixed. Note that they're not very sophisticated. For example, you have to get the spelling spot-on - a near miss won't do; it's also quite easy to cheat and bump your score up - but that's up to you.

IMPORTANT: remember to press this button after every question:

Local tests

The Visual Basic version is available for download if you would like to be able to run a more flexible version of the tests on your own Windows (3.1 & 95) computer. The software allows you to design your own tests with a range of question formats. You can also set a variety of options for each test, such as the ability to skip questions, repeat wrongly answered questions, allow mis-spellings and so on.
